An engineering support services company based in Cheshire says it has plans to expand after receiving a £250,000 loan from The North West Fund for Loans Plus.
Bowdon Group, which provides end-to-end support services to the engineering sector says it will use the loan to underpin further expansion and boost staff numbers.
Chief executive Brian Benson says: “The loan has provided us with the capital to take advantage of the growth in the UK construction industry”.
Bowden is the parent company of a number of businesses in the engineering support sector, including Skelair International, Sema Services and Ford Mainwaring. Its clients include public sector organisations, leading contractors and major private companies.
The North West Fund for Loans Plus, managed by FW Capital, is part of the £155m North West Fund and is financed jointly by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank.
