A Blackburn-headquartered tissue manufacturer has agreed to lease a huge newly refurbished warehouse in Skelmersdale.
Accrol, which supplies Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and Morrisons, will occupy the 368,400 sq ft space at Orbit Development’s M58 Distribution Centre.
The new warehouse will house the company’s finished goods and provide central distribution facilities to all of its UK customers.
The firm says it chose the facility at Skelmersdale for its road links to the M58 and close connection to the M6 motorway, which will allow it to simplify and consolidate its existing warehouse facilities.
Steve Crossley, CEO of Accrol (pictured centre), adds: “We are delighted to have found such a high quality facility in an ideal location for Accrol.
“The significant size of the unit allows us to consolidate and simplify our supply chain and will give us space to grow over the coming years.”
Joint agents for the scheme are CBRE and Knight Frank.
