CBRE’s Manchester specialist markets team has been appointed as agents on an extensive 19th Century care home in Fulwood, Preston.
The large detached care home, constructed in 1880, comprises 39 bedrooms, 15 staff bedrooms, a chapel, doctor’s surgery, common areas, tea room and conservatory.
Owned by the Little Sisters of the Poor, five outbuildings incorporating a gate house and former stables provide added residential accommodation.
The building, located just outside the centre of Preston, is surrounded by landscaped gardens on a four acre site accessed off Garstang Road in Fulwood.
Shaun Skidmore, senior director of specialist markets at CBRE Manchester, says: “This 19th Century property is a truly unique offering for the market and presents a number of opportunities to ensure its long-term sustainability.
“We are looking forward to speaking with interested parties and working with our client to ensure the best outcome for this special development.
CBRE recently announced that it has added seven new recruits to its North West Building Consultancy division this year.
The wave of appointments takes the total number of staff at the company’s Manchester and Liverpool offices to 28.
