BOSS Store expansion among deals to give Metquarter ‘new identity’

Fashion brand HUGO BOSS will expand its BOSS Store into the former Carluccios restaurant at Liverpool’s Metquarter.

The extension will give the retailer a total of 10,500 sq ft of space at the leisure and retail complex, which is currently undergoing transformation.

A new fit-out of the BOSS Store will be carried out, with the brand aiming to create a ‘refined, discerning space with a classic, modern feel as the design embraces the harmony between lines, shapes and colours’.

The new-look clothing shop is expected to reopen in March 2019.

Stuart Harris, commercial director at Queensberry which owns Metquarter, says: “BOSS expanding in to the former Carluccios space gives us a great fashion anchor at the front of the centre.

“We have a really exciting and transformative 12 months ahead for Metquarter with Kids Cavern opening in the next few weeks, Everyman in December, BOSS and a fantastic fashion boutique taking the former Armani Exchange unit opening in spring next year.

“We have also now agreed terms with a premium food hall operator to take 16,000 sq ft of space, housing 10 food kitchens representing a range of cuisines operated by local and regional chefs.

“These deals totalling nearly 70,000 sq ft will breathe new life into Metquarter, giving it a new identity that is both representative of Liverpool whilst showcasing some of the best international and British fashion brands.”
