EPIC replaces PVA Hospitality to manage forthcoming Liverpool hotels

EPIC Hospitality Group has been appointed to run two forthcoming hotels in Liverpool’s Ropewalks and Baltic Triangle neighbourhoods.

PVA Hospitality, founded by entrepreneur Paul Adams who is behind brands including The Vincent Hotel, was previously lined up to manage the new sites however developer Elliot Group “couldn’t get the deal over the line”.

EPIC Hospitality Group, which is run by Simon Beer, will assume management control of the £20 million, 128-room Ropewalks-based hotel on Seel Street immediately.

The partnership with the hotelier and apartment operator is also said to have enabled progress on the £70m, 306-bedroom Baltic hotel on Norfolk Street, with work now scheduled to start on the development in October.

Both hotels are set to incorporate a food and beverage offer which is yet to be announced.

The deal with EPIC comes after discussions ended with PVA Hospitality over the management of both properties, and Elliot Lawless of Elliot Group says: “After reaching an in-principle agreement with PVA we just couldn’t get the deal over the line.  It happens sometimes.  We’re delighted with our agreement with EPIC and I’m looking forward to the Seel Street opening party.”

The four-star Seel Street Hotel, which forms part of Elliot Group’s wider Wolstenholme Square transformation, is scheduled to open in November 2018.
