IFB2016 launches club to increase business deals

A business club aiming to provide companies with access to thousands of potential deals during the forthcoming International Festival for Business 2016 is being launched today (10 March).

Firms are now being invited to register for the free club, which will enable them to access a digital matching service to provide introductions to new buyers, partners, investors and suppliers during the three-week event in Liverpool.

Along with this initiative, named the ‘Meet Your Future Deal’ programme, club members will also be able to seek free advice from industry experts through the ‘Meet Your Specialist Advisor’ programme and in total around 6,000 face-to-face appointments are expected through the International Festival for Business Club.

Festival director, Ian McCarthy, says:  “As a result of IFB2014, we know that businesses benefited from the festival to the tune of £280 million in new sales and investment deals and we’re expecting IFB2016 to be even more successful.

“This is a global, outwardly-focused festival and we want to really encourage UK SMEs to get involved, engage with the International Festival for Business Club and make the most of the plethora of opportunities that will present themselves.”

As the festival returns to the city for the second time, IFB2016 will focus activities and events around three themes – manufacturing; creative and digital; and energy and environment.
