Junkyard Golf Club has announced it will open its fifth UK attraction within Liverpool ONE.
The brand, which will combine three themed nine-hole golf courses with bars serving up party cocktails, has signed up for a 17,000 sq ft space.
Courses including a ‘polluted paradise’ named Pablo, a ‘scrapyard disco’ named Gary and a ‘dystopian fairground’ called Bozo will feature in the attraction, which will join the retail complex’s shopping and leisure offering on The Terrace.
Props for the courses will be constructed from reclaimed and reworked parts, and visitors can expect features such as a UV disco room and a ‘hall of shattered dreams’.
The attraction will be designed by an in-house team in conjunction with OBI Property.
Four bars will be dotted around the venue, serving drinks decorated with tuck shop treats like popping candy, and food including hot dogs and nachos will also be served up so that golfers can take it around the courses as they play.
The crazy golf-style concept is scheduled to open in the city during early 2019, and the Liverpool branch will join existing Junkyard Golf Club venues in Manchester, London, Oxford and Leeds.
