A construction equipment company with a head office in Warrington has completed the purchase of Stafford-based Finlay Plant (UK).
Molson Group , which is a major supplier of Korean and Japanese built excavators in Europe, acquired the firm for an undisclosed fee.
As part of the deal, Molson will take over the subsidiary and associated companies of industrial equipment supplier Finlay, with the sales, hire and service organisations to remain largely unchanged.
Molson has also secured full distribution rights for the complete range of Terex Finlay mobile crushing, screening and conveying equipment for England, Wales and the Channel Islands.
David Statham, managing director of Finlay Group, says: “I’m very excited for the future direction and the growth expectations for both Finlay Group and Molson.
“I look forward to ensuring a smooth transition for our staff and our clients.”
Molson expanded its presence in the North with the opening of a new service unit in Warrington in 2014.
The Cheshire site serves customers in the North Midlands as well as Greater Manchester and all areas south of the M62 corridor.
Manchester-based commercial law firm Kuits advised on the deal.
