Plans to build eight new industrial units at Midpoint 18 in Middlewich have been recommended for approval.
Total Developments has put forward a two-phase scheme for a 15-acre plot off Pochin Way at the mixed-use business park.
The hybrid application is seeking full planning permission for two units totalling 99,738 sq ft, and outline consent for the construction of six units totalling 146,948 sq ft.
The development would also incorporate car parking for 338 vehicles, cycle stores and self-contained service yards for each unit.
A report is recommending Cheshire East Council’s strategic planning board approve the proposals next week (24 October), subject to the completion of a Section 106 agreement to provide a contribution of £687,540 towards the Middlewich Eastern Bypass.
The document adds: “This proposal would bring economic benefits through the delivery of new jobs within an established industrial park where the local plan allocates such uses.
“The proposal is compatible with the surrounding development and the design, scale and form of the building would sit comfortably with those within the locality.”
