Office space heading to Northern Quarter

Work will begin next month to develop 6,000 sq ft of commercial office space in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Developer Mulbury is working with Tim Groom Architects to deliver the wider £30 million mixed-use Port Street scheme, and will lead the project from its newly opened Piccadilly-based office.

Planning permission for the ground floor office space was granted in September 2015 and the eight to 14-storey development will also provide 134 homes ranging from 400 sq ft studios to 900 sq ft three-bedroom apartments.

This work begins as Mulbury announces plans to build 1,200 new private rented sector (PRS) homes in Manchester’s city centre over the next three years; this PRS pipeline is currently worth £250m in property value and represents £150m of construction contracts.
