The Old Trafford office market is said to be “experiencing a resurgence” following significant investment to regenerate the area.
Harry Skinner, associate director at Avison Young, expects improvements to transport links and residential developments to continue boosting the office market after a further letting was secured at Oakland House.
Legal firm Optimal Solicitors has signed a five-year lease on half of the building’s third floor, totalling 5,479 sq ft, and will relocate its 70-strong workforce from its existing Stretford Road premises in Old Trafford.
The deal gives the occupier a pre-emption on the remainder of the floor as its business continues to expand.
Avison Young and Cushman and Wakefield are joint letting agents for the building, acting on behalf of London and Scottish Investments which is refurbishing Oakland House.
Skinner says: “This is another good deal for the Old Trafford office market which is experiencing a resurgence following significant investment into improving the area’s transport links and numerous residential developments coming forward led by local and international investors.
“This regeneration will certainly boost the local office market.”
