A team has been appointed to help enhance Liverpool’s iconic Royal Liver Building for both visitors and workers based there.
CBRE’s Liverpool building consultancy experts have appointed a project team to undertake master planning on the development of the ‘Three Graces’ landmark, after Corestate Capital purchased the building earlier this year.
Corstorphine + Wright has been selected as the lead architect, supported by independent heritage buildings advisor Peter de Figueiredo and CBRE’s specialist planning team.
The project team also plans to improve the waterfront building’s offer to the city, working closely with CBRE’s office agency division.
Simon Hepple, director of CBRE’s building consultancy, says: “We are delighted to be appointed and to secure the services of the most relevant and experienced consultants to work closely with Liverpool City Council to assist Corestate to create a truly vibrant and revitalised destination in Liverpool.
“Corestate Capital is committed to investing in Liverpool and enhancing the offer of one of the UK’s most iconic buildings.”
Ed Baverstock, architect director at Corstorphine + Wright, adds: “It is an enormous privilege to be selected to consider the redevelopment opportunities of this iconic Liverpool landmark.
“Corstorphine + Wright has a wealth of experience in the respectful conservation and sensitive revival of historic buildings across the UK and we are honoured to play our part as custodians of this magnificent Grade I-listed property.”
