Wetherspoon has submitted plans to open a new pub opposite James Street station in Liverpool city centre.
The nationwide operator says it will invest £1.5 million to convert the ground floor of office building Victoria House into the new venue.
The proposed branch will also include a external beer garden to the rear of the building.
According to the planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council, J D Wetherspoon has acquired the leasehold of the ground and mezzanine floors it wants to transform.
The seven floors above are currently used as offices.
If approved, the new pub would join a number of Wetherspoon’s in Liverpool city centre including The Welkin on Whitechapel and The North Western on Lime Street.
